Bad Meaning Good has returned! For the first time since February of 2010, we're bringing Bad Meaning Good back to its rightful home The Burlington for a night of debaucherous, yuletide stupidity.
For those of you who don't know, Bad Meaning Good was a monthly party started by myself and DJ Intel way back in April of 2009. The premise is pretty simple really... Every month the two of us would curate a pair of thematically-connected shitty movies to play at the bar, get about 20 or so of our friends to come by to drink obnoxious amounts of booze, heckle the films, and basically act like a bunch of idiots on a Monday night. It's not exactly the most complex formula for fun in town but it's a charming little party and we had a damn good time doing it. Eventually it got to a point where it became a kind of potluck of sorts where friends were bringing homemade goodies and the two of us would mix records for the rest of the evening upon completion of the two movies.
Alas, I decided to move to L.A. back in April and the future of Bad Meaning Good became a little less certain. The night was more or less shelved indefinitely until now, where in the grandest of fashions, we've decided to re-launch in time for the holidays and rise in triumphant glory, like a flaming shit phoenix out of the cinematic toilet!!!
... So this evening, starting at 8pm, we return stronger than ever to deliver a cinematic shit-snowball (yes, I just said "shit-snowball") directly to your face.
